Msoma Architects

New Architects 5 is the fifth volume in a series published by the Architecture Foundation, profiling emerging architectural talent in the UK. The book will feature Msoma’s work alongside that of 93 other firms established in the last decade and is scheduled for publication in summer 2026.

A Story of South Asian Art opens at the Royal Academy of Arts from 31 October 2025 to 24 February 2026 - visit now! Our exhibition design translates artistic philosophy into space through a decolonial and decarbonised approach. Using low-tech, bio-based materials such as clay, hemp, and natural pigments - built by The White Wall Company - the design considers cultural continuity within Indian Modernism. The exhibition centers Mrinalini Mukherjee and her circle, who in the context of the Baroda School in postcolonial India, insisted that modernity must grow from indigenous roots, drawing from the earth rather than imported paradigms.

Bushra Mohamed, Director at Msoma Architects, will be speaking at ESALA, Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture this Friday, 7 November at 5pm as part of the lecture series 'Dialogues in Motion: Architecture Through the Lived Experience'.

Bushra will share her career journey, from her formative studies to leading Msoma, and reflect on the studio’s recently completed and ongoing projects. The lecture explores how lived experience, material practice, hybridity and decolonial thinking shape Msoma’s approach to contemporary architecture.

Garden Futures: Designing with Nature is now open at the V&A Dundee. Msoma was the exhibition design lead, working with Boris Meister (Graphics), Beam (Lighting) and Charles Staton-Jones (AV).
