A 5x5m pavilion celebrating African and Black diaspora voices in response to the biennale’s questioning theme, ‘How will we live together?’. The pavilion is designed by Msoma Architects as part of the 17th International Architecture Biennale in Venice. Situated in the Marinaressa Gardens, a public park, off the laguna and adjacent to residential buildings sits the ArchiAfrika Pavilion which creates a social ecosystem for the neighbourhood. It serves as a gathering place, a point of reference for all who visit, to exchange and discuss how we will live together in the future. Through a curated programme of exhibitions and talks, we discussed how the UK can learn from indigenous ways of living on the African Continent. Photos by Luca Bosco.
